ROOM APPEAL
Staging for your home
"I was so impressed with Linda's ability to stage my house for sale, and so pleased with how it looked, that I asked her to stage my next home, not for selling, but for living". -Scott Godsey

"By using what you already have in your home I can transform it so it attracts more buyers"
-Linda Ragghianti
WHAT MAKES STAGING DIFFERENT FROM INTERIOR DESIGN? It's fun to help the homeowner see how things that they have loved and surrounded themselves with throughout the years can be used to enhance the space. Being an Accredited Home Stager and coming from an objective standpoint I can see your home through the eyes of a buyer. So my goal is to show off your home's features, not distract from them.
Often people get Staging and Interior Design confused. The Interior Designer's goal is to create the ultimate living environment for their client. It's about the homeowner's likes and dislikes, their comfort and functionality.
Staging is a bit different. A Stager's goal is to create an environment to attract others to come into the home. It becomes more about the attractiveness to potential buyers than the everyday use of the space for the present homeowner. Staging utilizes items the homeowner currently possesses. Those possessions may be tweaked or enhanced by the Stager. For instance, I may cover an old sofa with a coverlet, use a mirror as a tray or fabric as art. A common term for this type of practice is called "re-purposing". As a Home Stager I have the eye to take something you may have always had in your bedroom and use it as the center-piece on your dining table. I often hear my clients say "I haven't seen that piece in years" when all along it was in the back of their closet or went unnoticed being used for a different purpose.
My motto is... "If it doesn't enhance the space, it's just clutter"!
